The Min-Knee Hinged Knee BraceManufacturer: Advanced Orthopaedics - Model: 623
The Min-Knee Hinged Knee Brace from Advanced Orthopaedics is a one size fits all solution for amazing knee compression and overall support. Both easy to apply and comfortable to wear, The Min-Knee Hinged Knee Brace is one of our top sellers and for good reason; at 14" in length it is a much shorter, more manageable brace than standard hinge knee braces. The shortened length of the brace allows for great mobility while maintaining optimal compression on the knee. This universal hinged knee brace contains a removable Range of Motion adjustable hinge that can be set to the desired amount of flexion, preventing hyperextension at 170 degrees.
The Min-Knee Hinged Knee Brace is perfect for patients with mild to moderate ligament joint pain, knee sprains, strains of the knee ligament, and provides stabilization and compression of the knee joint following ligament or meniscus injury.
- Medial and lateral hinge stays provide excellent support
- Enclosed tubular donut buttress
- Neoprene coated with 4-way stretch nylon fabric
- Piping along thigh and calf areas of support to stop flexing
- Tapered in back for comfortable fit
- Hyperextension stops at 170 degrees
- Easy removable hinges for custom fitting
- Shorter knee brace is 14" in length, allowing for better mobility
HOW TO APPLY: First set the hinge to the desired flexion/extension settings (see below). Unfasten all straps and closures. Position the back with the popliteal opening and behind the knee so popliteal opening falls at the crease behind the knee. Align the medial/lateral hinges with the center of the knee joint. Wrap around the front and secure the hook and loop closure. Support should fit snug but not so tight as to restrict circulation. Hinges should be aligned with the prominent bones on each side of the knee. Secure straps beginning with the top strap. Feed straps through rings and secure.
SETTING THE HINGE: Hinge has optional flexion and extension settings. The caregiver should determine the correct setting for the condition. Remove hinges from pockets. Open hinge cover and remove pins. Set flexion first by moving hinge arms until an opening is seen through the desired flexion setting. Drop pins into desired setting, snapping them into place. Set both sides of the hinge (left/right) at the same degree of flexion. Set extension by moving hinge arms until an opening is seen through the desired extension setting. Drop pins into desired setting, snapping them into place. Set both sides of the hinge (left/right) to the same degree of extension. Close hinge cover. Insert hinges back into pockets.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Fasten closures. Hand wash in cold water with mild soap. Wrap in a towel to remove excess water (do not twist or wring). Air dry away from heat. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach.
